ALASTAIR DAVIES

FINISH CARPENTER / CABINET MAKER / FURNITURE MAKER

Alastair has spent his life covered in sawdust.

First in his Father’s workshop in the UK, and later as a circus acrobat for internationally renowned companies like Cirque du Soleil and Cirque Eloize.

From a passion that was sparked at a young age, Alastair was always making something out of wood, treating his Dad’s workshop as if it were his own.

After hanging up his acrobatic shoes in 2019, Alastair returned to the world of woodworking in Montreal, QC. He began in cabinetry and furniture making before moving on to high-end finish carpentry where he became a specialist in custom staircases, doors and mouldings.

Alastair quickly gained experience and knowledge from working with large teams, collaborating with designers, studying architectural drawings, and eventually leading project renovations of luxury homes.

He has also designed and built a series of custom scenic furniture that serve as acrobatic props for the international tour of “PLAY DEAD.”

Drawing inspiration from a decade-long career traveling the world observing art and architecture, Alastair hopes to explore further the boundaries of modern design.
